The American Heart Association recognizes the work of young leaders promoting heart health across the country.

The American Heart Association (AHA), celebrating 100 years of saving lives and fighting for a healthier life for all, is proud to announce the selection of 20 students from across the United States as the new National Young Heart Ambassadors. These young leaders, chosen from hundreds of candidates, will be the ambassadors for AHA’s school programs, Kids Heart Challengeā„¢ and American Heart Challengeā„¢ in 2024 and 2025. The students will share their impactful stories to motivate and inspire their peers to adopt healthy heart habits.

Being a Young Heart Ambassador provides students with a platform to share their passion for heart health and advocate for the need to raise essential funds to end heart disease and strokes. These student leaders have unique experiences that will impact their peers and drive significant change throughout the 2024 and 2025 school year.

All the Young Heart Ambassadors this year have personal connections to heart disease and strokes, either through their own health issues or those of their loved ones. Their stories of resilience, support, and passion for heart health will play a prominent role in AHA’s initiatives to promote physical and mental well-being among students nationwide. The twenty finalists were selected by the American Heart Association from over 200 candidates from across the country.
