The American Heart Association is on a mission to empower companies in Northeast Wisconsin to train bystanders as lifesavers through the Fox Cities Heart Walk campaign. The campaign aims to increase CPR education and training in the community to improve survival rates for those who suffer cardiac arrest outside of a hospital setting.
The Fox Cities Heart Walk is scheduled to take place on September 28 at the Fox Cities Stadium in Appleton. Participants can register for the event at NortheastWisconsinHeartWalk.org. By participating in the Heart Walk, companies can contribute to lifesaving research, enhance CPR training accessibility, and boost bystander preparedness.
The American Heart Association’s goal is to create a community of lifesavers in Northeast Wisconsin by engaging companies in the fight against cardiovascular diseases, which are the leading cause of death in the region. Through the Nation of Lifesavers™ movement, the Association aims to double survival rates of cardiac arrest by 2030 by increasing CPR education, AED use, and community engagement.
For over 60 years, the American Heart Association has been a pioneer in resuscitation science, education, and training. The organization is committed to turning bystanders into lifesavers through initiatives like the Nation of Lifesavers. By empowering individuals to perform CPR during a cardiac emergency, the Association hopes to save more lives in the community.
