News of former President Biden’s aggressive and incurable prostate cancer has really thrown the public for a loop. Like, seriously, no one saw this coming. Apparently, not even Biden himself. Poor guy.
Who, What, Where, When, Why, and How:
So, Biden, who is 81 years old, didn’t really have any reason to get screened for prostate cancer up until a year ago. I mean, his doctors didn’t think it was necessary. But then out of nowhere, he starts having some urinary issues, and BAM! Cancer diagnosis. It’s crazy how these things just pop up, even when you’re getting the best medical care money can buy, right?
The Diagnosis:
So, after some tests, they found a little nodule in Biden’s prostate and his PSA levels were through the roof. Not good. Then they did this biopsy thing in Philadelphia, graded the cancer on this Gleason scale, and it was like a 9 out of 10. Yikes. And to top it off, the cancer had already spread to his bones. They didn’t say which bone, but usually, it’s the spine. But who knows, right?
The Controversy:
Now, some people are saying Biden’s doctors should’ve done this PSA test earlier to catch the cancer sooner. But, like, the test isn’t always accurate and can give false results. Plus, the experts don’t even recommend it for guys Biden’s age. So, I guess they were just following the rules? Who knows.
The Aftermath:
So, now Biden is talking to his doctors about treatment options. It seems like the cancer might respond well to hormone therapy, which is good news. At least he’s got that going for him. And, you know, he’s getting a lot of love and support from everyone, which is nice. Cancer sucks, man. But hey, at least he’s not alone in this fight, right?
Overall, it’s a tough situation for Biden, especially after losing his son to cancer a few years back. But, hey, he’s a fighter. Let’s hope he kicks this cancer’s butt and comes out stronger on the other side.
